Pesapuu watchtower

Overview

The Pesapuu watchtower is 30 meters high and it resembles a tree with two bird nests. When a baby is born to Rõuge Parish, the egg on the top turns blue or pink, depending on whether a boy or a girl is born. 

The watchtower is spectacular during both the day and the night. In the evening, lights of different colours are turned on to shed light on the bird nests (observation platforms) and the egg on the top of the tower.

Anyone who reach the top of the tower are offered amazing views of the Nightingale Valley and the rest of Võru County. Pesapuu is opened 24/7. Free.
