Mūšos Tyrelis Cognitive Trail

Overview
Mūšos Tyrelis Swamp is a unique Semigallian corner of nature untouched by humans in Žagarė Regional Park. Mūšos Tyrelis Cognitive Trail was opened in 2015. It is the longest known wooden walkway across a swamp and has been included in the Book of Records of Lithuania. The length of the trail is 5,775.87 meters. It has been built in the unique and valuable land of Mūšos Tyrelis Thelmological Reserve. This exceptional northern Lithuania nature complex consists of several types of swamps, peatbogs and wet forest land. The Mūša and the Juodupis Rivers flow across the swamp. It also has a naturally formed Lake Miknaičiai and many small lakes. The reserve has been enlisted in NATURA 2000. Mūšos Tyrelis Cognitive Trail can be visited independently. No guides of Žagarė Regional Park Management are necessary. However, please do not forget that nature is to be respected and, thus, smoking is not permitted here!
