Seaside nature park & Gauja estuary

Overview

The estuary of the Gauja river is one of few estuaries of large rivers of the region that has remained untouched by man. In Seaside nature park one can enjoy beaches that are never crowded, sand dunes and pineforests. Apart from Gauja also other rivers are worth seeing - for example Lilaste river.

The nature park has several board walks (for example Garciema boardwalk) and enen a promenade (Carnikava promenade) almost 2km in length - leading straight to the sea.
