Mereoja Camping is located in Viru county in North-East Estonia, by a scenic coast between Narva and Rakvere. Mereoja is a contemporary campsite with modern facilities and a beautiful private beach. A high shore allows cover from the seawinds and an opportunity to enjoy wonderful sunset and sunrise views. In addition to a seaview, this campsite has a sauna located right by the beach. Grilling areas are available to visitors, with charcoal grills as well as tables and benches. For children there is a playground.
Visitors with motorhomes, caravan and tents have access to pitches with electricity (which are also suited for motorhomes weighing over 15 metric tons.) In total there are 80 pitches, and booking in advance is not necessary.
Cottages (3 in total) and glamping tents (5 in total) are meant for up to four people and are located in open areas with sunlight. In front of each cottage and glamping tent are tables and chairs for four people. Cooking is possible in the communal kitchen (including utensils) and in the grilling areas.
There are three sanitary buildings on the territory, where visitors can access 12 toilets, 2 urinals and 8 showers, also 2 spaces for emptying chemical toilets. For doing laundry there are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers.
A natural and quiet coastline offers oppurtunities for walks along the beach, where You can spot fossils characteristic of Northern limestone cliffisides. Near the campsite you can visit tourist attractions such as Tulivee Restaurant, Purtse Fortress Restaurant, Purtse Brewery, Kiviõli Adventurepark, Estonian Mining Museum, Rakvere Castle, Estonian Police Museum, Narva Castle, and many more.
In the Mereoja convenience store You can buy hot and cold beverages, ice cream, snacks, charcoal and immediate commotities. Brochures and information about the neighbouring sites are available in the main building. Silent hours are from 11 pm to 7 am and the exit/entry-gate is open from 8 am until 10 pm.
