Sunny Nights Homestead & Camping is a 100 year old homestead and a former post station (Karaulka) established in 1910. The station served horse carriages that traveled between Riga and Kaliningrad. The homestead guests can enjoy unique environment, a historical guest house and a wonderful apple tree garden adapted for relaxation, parties and picnics. The Campsite also has a great pond with sandy beaches, volleyball court and other necessary infrastructure. The buildings are adorned in hippie and traditional Lithuanian decorations and homemade items. The authentic environment and lush nature will keep you occupied for hours. During the bright nights of August, the homestead holds annual music, art and leisure festival called Sunny Nights. The Saint John’s Festival and the Assumption of Mary Festival are also celebrated. The Campsite and guest house are located near one of favorite hiking routes in the Baltic States. Here, you will find lots of places of interest that you can reach on foot, by bike or other means of transport. Some of the most popular places include the Hill of Crosses, Mūšos Tyrelis Swamp, Joniškis synagogues, the Old Town of Žagarė and some other locations we will be glad to tell you about. The Campsite has a modern management building with a kitchen, shared spaces and library, wi-fi and other amenities, including showers and WCs. The garden and the pitch have hook-ups to electricity, tables, swings for children and recreation zones. The wastewater and water supply networks are of common use. The guest house has several private rooms and shared rooms. We welcome everyone: campers, hitchhikers, pilgrims, motorcyclists, bikers and hikers. Since 2019, we have been an albergue for pilgrims traveling along the Camino Lituano route. If you are into challenges, you are more than welcome to join the Sunny Nights community. We welcome all volunteers who wish to learn various crafts, gain skills and life experience, contribute to the eco-friendly environment of our homestead, cooking and other works.
